The first design ideas begin in the preliminary development stage at JB. Here we combine the research from the feasibility study, code and site analysis along with all the design criteria provided by the client. From here creative work at JB combines form and function into designs for our clients vision.

Code and Site Analysis

Code and site analysis lays the ground work and the building envelope dictated by the governing municipality in which a client’s project will occur.


Feasibility Study

Feasibility Studies are used to determine which of several potential solutions will best meet the needs of a client’s project. The most critical factors for a successful project are, design, cost of construction and administrative compliance. JB takes the clients general design ideas and site information to develop a propose path of direction before any preliminary designs begin. Feasibility studies assure that the client’s design ideas coincide with site planning, municipality’s parameters and most importantly their budget. Feasibility studies result in fewer surprises during construction while cutting costs and timetables.

Construction Documents

Once the client approves the preliminary plans JB continues to convert the approve drawings into construction documents for bid, permit, and construction use.
